Your data
Privacy policy
MyDemocratie collects only what a trustworthy participatory democracy needs: one person, one vote, debates signed with a pseudonym. Your votes stay secret, including from us.

Who is responsible
The platform is operated by Bastien Berardi. For any question or request about your data: bastien.berardi@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: your e-mail address (never shown), your public pseudonym, how you sign in (e-mail and password, or Google) and, if you turn it on, your two-factor authentication factor.
- Participation: your proposals, discussions and messages, public and signed with your pseudonym, and any reports you file.
- Votes: we record that you took part in a vote, to guarantee one person = one vote. Your choice is encrypted on your device before it is sent; only the total is decrypted, by several independent guardians. Nobody can link a ballot to your choice.
- Vote key (optional): your vote receipts are encrypted with a key only you hold.
- Notifications (if you turn them on): the technical address your device’s notification service gives us, the device type and your preferences.
- Moderation: if some of your content is removed or your account suspended, the decision and its reason are kept and shown to you in My account.
What we do not do
No real name required, no advertising, no analytics or trackers, no location, no access to your contacts, no sale of data.
Why
This data is used only to sign you in securely, guarantee that each person votes once, show and moderate debates and — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time — tell you about votes and results.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (website hosting); Google only if you choose “Continue with Google”; your device’s notification service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), which carries encrypted notifications. Ballot guardians receive no personal data.
On your device
Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and let us stop a device’s notifications when you sign out. Your theme and vote receipts are kept locally on the device. No advertising or analytics cookies, hence no consent banner.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete it at any time from My account → Deletion: your e-mail and sign-in methods are erased, your pseudonym is replaced by an anonymous identifier, and your devices and notification preferences are deleted immediately. Your messages and proposals stay public under that anonymous identifier and your participation remains counted, so that past results stay verifiable.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability (GDPR). My account → My data lets you download, at any time, all the data we keep about you. You can turn notifications off at any time. You may also contact the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your country’s data protection authority.
Security
Encrypted connections, two-factor authentication, sealed ballots anyone can verify, and data access limited by the database itself to what each member is allowed to see.
Changes
This page will be updated if the platform changes; the date at the top shows the latest version.
